the parents fund regularly accounts for approximately one-third of the money raised by the lawrenceville fund and is charged with raising unrestricted gifts from current parents, parents of alumni, and grandparents. each and every gift makes an important difference in the experience of the students at lawrenceville today. all contributions will be rewarded with sincere appreciation and the satisfaction of knowing you have made a difference in the lives of some of the finest young people anywhere – your children.
please join your fellow lawrenceville parents in making a gift to the parents fund. your gift assists the school by producing vital support for the current operation of the school. that support provides lawrenceville with the resources necessary to fund critical attributes – scholarship support, a low student/faculty ratio, exceptional student activities, and first-rate facilities – as well as to sustain important lawrenceville traditions, such as harkness teaching and the residential house system. thanks to the generosity of lawrenceville families, the school was able to meet unexpected needs this past year.
pledges are welcome, but must be honored by june 30th when the parents fund fiscal year ends. remember that your gift can be doubled if you or your spouse is associated with a company or foundation that matches gifts to secondary schools.
the parents fund, chaired by jennifer bednar p’22 '22, danielle bensten p’17 ’20 ’21, steve shueh p’23 and mark thierfelder p’19 ’22, is consistently successful thanks to its many dedicated volunteers. this committee of parent volunteers actively promotes and supports the school’s annual fund, which contributes to every aspect of a lawrenceville education and covers 10% of the school’s operating budget every year.
